GKO is an independent Swiss watchmaking project founded by Giacomo Paris and based in Ticino, Switzerland. Unlike traditional brands structured around separate departments, GKO develops each timepiece as a single coherent object, where design, architecture, movement integration and materials are considered from the same starting point. The result is a very limited production of mechanical watches, created in small numbers, where each piece follows a unified design logic rather than being assembled from pre-existing parts.

Independent watchmaking refers to timepieces created outside large industrial groups, where a single creator or small team maintains direct control over design decisions and production direction. This independence allows the watch to be developed without external commercial constraints, focusing instead on design intent, mechanical coherence and originality. For collectors, it results in pieces that are traceable in authorship, limited in production, and often more experimental in material and construction.

GKO differentiates itself through a strict design led approach where each timepiece is conceived as a single coherent object rather than a composition of separate elements. Every decision from case architecture to material selection is made within a unified creative framework ensuring that form structure and identity are inseparable.

Unlike many independent watchmakers who focus primarily on complication or decoration GKO emphasizes reduction and architectural clarity. Each watch is developed in extremely limited numbers not as a marketing constraint but as a direct consequence of the design and production process itself.

Each GKO reference is produced either as a limited series of five pieces or as a single unique watch. This limitation is structural, not promotional: every stage of development, from concept to final assembly, is controlled to preserve coherence between design and execution. As a result, each owner becomes part of a very small group of collectors worldwide, which is central to the identity of each piece.

GKO watches are available through a small, carefully selected network of retailers and directly from the maker. Each acquisition begins with a direct inquiry through the contact page. Availability, lead times and allocation are discussed individually. Because production is limited, early contact is recommended for specific references.

In selected cases, it is possible to discuss allocation or reservation for upcoming production batches. Each request is evaluated individually based on availability and production planning.
